Services for Carlus Denver Scroggins, 103, of Francis, are 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Faith Free Will Baptist Church in Holdenville; Rev. Earl Scroggins, Leymoin Scroggins, Robert Scroggins and Tim Scroggins will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Scroggins passed away Monday, April 1, 2024 in Norman. He was born October 1, 1920, in Francis, OK to William H. and Annie Bell Matthews Scroggins.

On September 2, 1942 he married Bessie Ann Frederick. She preceded him in death September 2, 2002.

Mr. Scroggins served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a Rancher/ Farmer and worked at Holcim Cement Plant. Mr. Scroggins liked hunting, fishing, and gardening.

Survivors include his four sons, Leymoin Scroggins and wife, Laquita, Earl Scroggins and wife, Sandy, Robert Scroggins and wife, Susan, and Tim Scroggins and wife, Pam; 12 grandchildren, Theresa Weir and husband, John, Steven Scroggins, Mark Scroggins and wife, Lisa, Paul Scroggins and wife, Jeanna, Michele Milner and husband, Justin, Michael Scroggins and wife, Melissa, Travis Scroggins and Theresa, Shelli Scroggins- Harding and Cory Symes, Kerry Peters and wife, Tasha, Casey Peters and wife, Kammy, Brian Scroggins and wife, Kristi, and Kim Crawford and husband, Blake; 33 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren; one sister, Clara Hooser; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Scroggins; parents, William H. “Dink” and Annie Scroggins; four brothers and sisters- in-law, Leon and Edith Scroggins, Eual and June Scroggins, Arthur “Truman” and Mary Scroggins, and Dellie and Christine Scroggins; one sister and brother-in-law, Clarisa and Bill Nickerson; brothers-inlaw, Fred Smith and Bob Hooser; an infant brother; and two great grandchildren, Gracie Milner and Dustin Packard.
