Pardon me for writing in first person but when I went to the cemetery on Memorial Day Weekend my memory drifted back to a decade or so ago when I ask my friend Larry Langwell how he got an ugly scar on his leg. Larry’s reply puzzled me because he said the scar was received on his senior trip. I was a bit puzzled at first because I had no memory of a senior trip!

Holdenville High School graduate, Angel Johnson, has been selected to replace veteran coach, Rick Scott, as the Wolverine head softball coach. Scott is leaving the program after 2 years of leading the Wolverines as softball team’s head coach.

Wolverine Relay Teams set school records. The Holdenville High School 4 X 100 relay team began the state track meet with a record setting performance.

The Holdenville High School varsity track teams competed in the regional track meet last weekend and won 15 medals! Most importantly, a total of nine Wolverines punched their ticket to the state track meet. The Wolverine 4 x 100 boys’ and girls’ relay teams placed and earned the spot at the state track meet in Ardmore. In addition to the relays Brooklyn Nelms was runner-up in the 3200-meter run and will compete in that distance race at state.

Wolverine Track Team Preps for Regionals The Holdenville High School track teams will head to Madill this Saturday for regional competition. The Wolverines ran against some of the toughest large schools in the state last Saturday at Ardmore to prepare for this week’s competition.
